In-flight skincare! for Summer or Winter holidays...... Yay! holiday time is here meaning lots of sun, sea and sand, not to mention the 35000 ft sky ride to arrive at my chosen destination! I don’t know about you, but my skin has as tendency to want age me when i fly. The change in air atmosphere makes my skin dry and tight. My skin is not the biggest fan of traveling. So, I wanted to share some of my favorite skincare tips while traveling! Prepping your skin before you travel will improve the skins feel and appearance. Two key: exfoliation and hydration . So, the night before your flight exfoliate your skin with either an exfoliating wash, I love PAYOT Gelée Gommante Douceur exfoliater After your exfoliation, continue with the rest of your normal skincare routine. The morning before your flight, make sure to really hydrate your skin, drink plenty of water. Now onto the actual flying part. My first piece of advice: if you can help it… try not to wear makeup on the airplane . Makeup can clog your pores and cause your skin to retain microorganisms that you don’t want on your skin! Foundations can also be drying which is the last thing you need on a plane. If you have an appointment or if you’re meeting with people immediately after you land, bring a small bag with a cleanser, moisturiser, foundation, and lip color that you can apply in the airplane bathroom before your meeting! During your flight, it’s important to really seal in your skin’s moisture, and there’s no better way to do that than a good facial. I recommend using a hydrating mask – the Water Power moisturising & Plumping sheet mask is a favorite of mine. It will nourish and revitalise your skin and leave it really hydrated for your flight! The Hyrda 24+ face serum will keep your skin from getting dehydrated on the plane. I would suggest applying the serum an hour before the end of the flight, then applying Hyrda 24+ face moisturiser

"Facial steaming is a great option for clients with acne prone skin or with stubborn blackheads" Steaming your face is a relaxing way to treat yourself at the end of a long day. It helps to increase circulation in your face and opens your pores so you can cleanse away impurities. The steam accomplishes two things: 1) The water vapor itself loosens dirt and contaminants that are clogging pores and 2) The heat induces sweating, which further flushes out pores. "Freshly cleaned pores are better able to absorb skin creams with active ingredients such as retinol based-products or prescription creams. However, facial steaming is not well suited for rosacea-prone skin as the heat can cause dilation of blood vessels, contributing to redness. Furthermore, it's not a good idea for people with dry skin or eczema because of the natural oils that are being stripped.

Liquid Gold PRP Facial skin rejuvenation, also known as PRP/Vampire Facial treatment, is a non-surgical procedure that has commonly been used to treat sports injuries, but this method of using a patient’s own platelets to help heal an injury has recently been discovered to have cosmetic benefits as well. If you’re attending your first PRP treatment, have no worries–the treatment isn’t painful, and will benefit your skin without any harsh chemicals. Here’s what you can expect from your Liquid Gold PRP Facial skin rejuvenation: POST-TREATMENT Immediately following your Liquid Gold PRP Facial skin rejuvenation, you may experience some swelling, redness and tenderness on the treatment area. The swelling and redness usually last for 12 to 24 hours. Small bruises may also occur but should disappear within two or three days. After about three weeks that you will start to see noticeable improvements in your skin. The reason for this delay is that the platelets injected into your skin need time to develop and release the special growth factors, which help repair skin tissues. Your skin tone and skin texture will keep improving over the following weeks and months as the treatment helps your skin develop new blood vessels. The cells from the PRP treatment area will regenerate and will be rapidly vascularised, leaving you with a more vibrant and refreshed look! To achieve the best effects a Liquid Gold Facial PRP treatment is recommended once a month for the first three to four months for optimal results. Then, a treatment every six or 12 months may be recommended depending on your treatment outcome. Don’t let you skin wait! call Pearl today to set up a free consultation and get the rejuvenated look you want!

The Top Ten Pearl Powder Benefits Explained Pearl powder is a potent antioxidant that enhances the activity of Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), one of the body’s strongest antioxidant enzymes. It reduces peroxidation, one of the body’s most destructive aging processes. Pearl powder contains “signal proteins” that help to maintain youthful skin tone, stimulate new bone growth, and increase existing bone density. The DNA that creates signal proteins in pearls is similar to the part of our own DNA involved in the body’s calcium regulation. At age 25, collagen levels start declining at the rate of over 1.5% apx a year. By 40 years, your body dramatically slows the regeneration process of collagen! Signal proteins stimulate collagen regeneration & new skin growth. Pearl powder is a treasure that was used by the ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Mayans and Ayurvedic practitioners of India. Pearl powder is the purest & most bio-available source of calcium. Pearl powder contains proteins, 17 amino acids, polysaccharides & more than 30+ essential trace minerals to help you have optimum body function & youthful skin. Due to the pearl’s crystalline structure and its connection with human calcium metabolism at DNA level, pearl nutrients are more compatible, beneficial, and absorbable to our human body than calcium from other sources. The life enhancing nutrients in pearl's are in a crystalline form, which brings harmonising healing effect to body.
